roll on summer….

So with winter well and truly behind us, how nice is it being able to wonder round in a short sleeve tops and not have to worry about the cold! It has also meant that I have been able to rock the latest tops sent to me by sheinside.

First up, I am totally loving this dipped hem stripy T! Love the flash of bright yellow on the sleeves which adds a little bit of a twist to a basic! Its light weight and easy to dress up with a fitted jacket for work or dress down whilst I am chasing my little man around!

Next up is this lovely little lace number! Teamed with a neon pink vest (love neon!!) I get so many compliments about it! To be honest when I ordered this one, I wasn’t a 100% sure that about it. I have always found it difficult to find a top in this style that suits me but I really like the detail in this top like the scalloped hem and the strong floral pattern of the lace.

So, once again, sheinside came up trumps. Both tops are good quality and fit perfectly in my spring/summer wardrobe!

*sheinside kindly sent me these tops to review. All thoughts and opinions expressed on my blog are 100% my own and always will be!

Day trippin’ with Mothers Meeting

Feel like I have been MIA since returning to work, so when Mothers Meeting suggest a day out of London, I booked the day off and little man and I headed down to the beautiful Priory Farm.

Located in South Nutfield, the farm is a perfect day out for anyone but especially families wanting to get out of the big smoke. You can grab some locally sourced lunch at the farms cafe then enjoy a beautiful walk along the discovery route while the kids run wild!

We had so much fun – Raphael loves being outside and it was great seeing him trying to keep up with the big kids! I got to chat with mamas along the walk and took a few photos along the way….

Can’t wait to pay the farm another visit especially over the summer months where the poppy and sunflower field will be in full bloom!

Thanks again to Mothers Meeting for another amazing day out!

it’s a secret

The 20th April is going to mark the sixth Record Store Day in the UK. This is where independent record stores join together with artists to celebrate music. Special releases on vinyl and cd have been created exclusively for the day as well as a number of performances by artists will be taking place at stores across the uk.

There is going to be so much going on but one thing I will definitely be heading to combines music and art but it is one big secret! Secret 7″ has taken seven songs from seven well know artists and pressed 100 copies of each to 7″ vinyl. They then asked creatives all over the world to interpret the tracks and create a unique sleeve for the records. Then on Record Store Day, each one will be put up for sale, however you won’t know who created the sleeve or even what song you have until you have made purchase as the secret lies within!

Last weekend we went along to Mother in Shoreditch to view the collection. There are so many amazing sleeves to choose from and with entries from artist’s such as Ai Wei Wei and Gilbert and George I am gonna have to get there super early to try and get my favourite ones! It was so nice to be able to take our baba’s along too. Raphael and his friend Rafe, loved wondering round the space, checking out the sleeves and the giant robot in the room…

So who is gonna join me in the queue?

Stained Glass Jumper

Very excited! Got my Sheinside Black Mother of God Sweatshirt and I love, love, love it!

The jumpers print is really detailed and the colours are amazing! It is only available in one size but I reckon it could fit up to a size 12 to 14 comfortably. Modelled below by me & my little sister who has already tried to nick it from me, it is my favourite thing to wear right now!

Check it out at sheinside!

Time in the sky

Had a fun little trip out with a friend and our baba’s to Greenwich and took a trip over the Thames on Emirates air line experience!

We boarded on the Southside of the river at the Greenwich peninsula terminal. Cabins leave every few seconds so we were able to board straight away. Between the hours of 10am and 3pm the trips are extended by 10mins to allow you to check out the amazing views and with the weather finally starting to pick up on a clear day it is amazing!

The cabins can hold up to 10 people, we managed to fit 2 mama’s, 2 baba’s and 2 push chairs comfortably in one car and with the option of a non stop return trip we had enough time to get the baba’s out to check out the views too!

We really enjoyed our trip and I would say it is definitely worth a visit. It’s not that expensive and even though it is a bit off the beaten path, it’s a perfect morning or afternoon activity.

Here are a few photos taken by my photographer friend Frances Carlisle of our time in the sky….

If you are out and about in Brick Lane and looking for something a little different for your baba to wear, head on down to Oh Baby London. I came across this store when I was looking for a pressie for my cousin’s baba and have been hooked on their clothes ever since!

Mama and founder Hannah McHalick ‘s designers are totally original, the clothes are amazing quality and would look great on any little hipster!

I loved Raphael in his Tuxedo Print Playsuit and can’t wait to dress him up in my latest purchases!

And if you are about this weekend, they are having a sample sale at their store! With prices starting from 50p you are bound to pick up a bargain or two!
